Last Sunday, Paul and I were in our jammies drinking cups of tea until 2 pm. The electric blanket was on and all the heaters were blazing. It was another wet and miserable Winter’s day. At one point, Paul said he wished he was a bear so he could hibernate all Winter and wake up in Spring. I reminded him, like a good partner, that he still has plenty of renovating to do before he takes that long sleep!

All jokes aside it was wonderful just to take the foot off the gas pedal for a day. It also gave me some time to contemplate what’s next. Writing this blog for the last 10 months has been

So…I’ve decided to go back to school part-time to study Interior Design. I am not sure what is going to happen at the end of it. I guess there are never any guarantees from completed studies. What I do know is that I want to learn more about interior design, so I can have the confidence to finish our home project, plus I want to share my new found expertise with you all.

At this early stage, I don’t know how I am going to fit in blogging, renovating, study and working in one week. It looks like I might have to hit the pause button on the writing while I give my studies some attention for the next while. Don’t worry, I aim to post about our completed rooms if and when they happen. Possibly no one cares that I am taking a break, but I thought I should say something before I do a Houdini disappearing act on you all.

My other news, (which also factored in as one of my reasons to hit the books again) is that our bathroom will be featuring in an upcoming issue of Your Home and Garden magazine. This magazine has been a favourite of mine for awhile, so to have Kristina the editor tell me that she thinks our bathroom is great – really blows my mind! The issue date hasn’t been finalised yet, but again I will let you know when it happens.
Until my next post, warm hugs and thank you for reading!

Your comments certainly made me smile Christine! Thank you :). Yes, will definitely keep you in the loop re: YHG. The sub-editor did say it could take up to a year for publication. So it might be a long loop? Giggle. xx
